We also had a meeting with Director General of Indonesian Fisheries, Dr. Salamat, who expressed his full support for organizing the conference. As mentioned in my previous column, we are working on creating regional small symposia related to the Asia Pacific region. As you know, we are strong and well known in Australia and America, but have a weak presence in Asia. Consequently we have decided to start a roadshow in four main countries: India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. We plan to have three to four workshops in each country on different topics such as health management, nutrition, finfish culture, biosecurity and so forth. By doing so, this will increase our visibility and improve our networking. I predict that this will help increase our membership in Asia by at least 500 within the next two years. To improve benefits for current APC members, we are brainstorming and trying to create a new website, hopefully by the end of this year. Surely a lot is happening and we are trying our best to make the best for all of us, so it is greatly appreciated if you can give us your support. Thank you and see you soon in Adelaide. — Farshad Shishehchian, President
