One of our main accomplishments in 2014 was updating the chapter’s Five-Year Strategic Plan, which provides guidance to the Board as we move forward with program development in 2015. This new strategic plan will be available on the website in the coming months. We have also completed a Procedures and Policy Manual for the Board to help provide continuity during the transitions of Board members. This will improve the efficiency of the Board and will allow new members to ‘hit the ground running.’ The Board’s main focus this year will be to reinvest in member services. In the coming weeks, please be on the lookout for a member satisfaction survey that will help us to gauge member needs and identify any gaps we need to address. Please take the time to complete this short survey so that we may better focus our efforts on what you want and expect from our chapter. One of the most significant changes you will see this year is a new USAquaculture.org website that better conveys information about aquaculture and will contain all of the necessary information to stay informed about society activities. In the spirit of volunteerism, please consider how you may contribute to improving the chapter and, in turn, I look forward to serving you as your President. — Michael Denson, President
