The lack of availability of quality inputs such as shrimp seed and feed are some of the problems that need special attention, which can be solved by going back to indigenous species and food facilities. Future development will depend on expansion of applied research, incorporation of effective biosecurity and disease management, and development of shrimp processing facilities.
