An overview of the literature pertaining to the concept of entrepreneurship express that entrepreneurship is an important factor in economic development associated with a package of personality characteristics that are associated precisely in an effective farming business. Entrepreneurship is described as the function of various entrepreneurial behaviors, entrepreneurial initiative and entrepreneurial spirit.

Fish - Entrepreneurship is a major catalyst for economic growth, productivity and development in both industrialized and developing countries. Examining the Fish - entrepreneurial challenges tends to provide useful insights into issues and raises practical implications for policy makers Indian Fisheries sector being a highly foreign exchange earning one, stimulates growth of subsidiary industries assuring socio economically backward small farm holders.

In this context an analysis was done to find out various motivating demotivating factors, various skills for farm enterprise priorities, characteristics, risk orientation, constraints and challenges of Fish-preneurship. In depth literature review has been done on fish-entrepreneurship. The data from past research studies on entrepreneurial behaviors and women entrepreneurship are also focused. The specific strategies for the development of fish - entrepreneurship are also discussed.
