Aquaponics is a technique that combines growing of aquatic animals and plants i.e. hydroponics system.  Many small aquaponics systems are in practice. But, a commercial level strategy to maintain aquaponics system is still in nascent stage. The main challenge in aquaponics system is balanced nutrient conditions required for the growth of aquatic animals and plants in such a dynamic system with very high complexity. Hence, in the present study water and nutrient management strategy has been presented. The aim to develop this modeling framework is to improve the efficiency of nutrient and water through the development of a mathematical model. Water quality, fish growth and plant growth parameters will be considered and a system level management model and simulation will be carried out.
