CHARACTERIZATION OF THE RESULT OF CROSSING OF STRAINS GIANT GOURAMY, Osphronemus gouramy, Lac   FROM JAMBI, KALIMANTAN AND TASIKMALAYA BASED ON MORPHOMETRIC TRUSS METHOD

The aim of this study was to determine phenotypic characters and genetic relationship giant gouramy from crosses between strain of Jambi, South Kalimantan and Tasikmalaya. This research was conducted at the giant gouramy Hatchery, Research Institute for fish breeding, Sukamandi, West Java for 14 days. Analysis of morphological diversity between strain carried through morphometric measurements that have been determined based on a point benchmark as much as 16 characters truss. Measurement data of each character that has been relativized with a standard length in the analysis using analysis discriminant and hierarchical cluster. The result showed low 2 diversity of giant gouramy test with coefficient variance(CV) ranged from 4-13 % . The highest coeffitient variance (CV) on each character is C3(extremity of anal fin-pole of

caudal fin) with range between 18-33% and the lowest is B5(pole of ventral finextremity of dorsal fin) with ranges between 2-4% . Based on discriminant analysis presented in Lambda Wilks' Table and canonical discriminant graph male have more different characteristics than the female. Based on dendogram, the closest kinship is Tasikmalaya X Jambi (TJ) with giant gouramy from crosses South Kalimantan X Tasikmalaya (KT) with similarity value is 89,41%, otherwise the most distance kinship of the other strains is Tasikmalaya X Tasikmalaya (TT) and Jambi X Jambi (JJ) with similarity value as big as 53,93%.
