SEDIMENT CHARACTERISTIC ANALYSIS WHEN THE RAINY AND DRY SEASON GULF LABUANGE BARRU DISTRICT AS A RECIPENT OF ORGANIC WASTE FROM SUPER INTENSIVE POND.

Labuange bay Barru district into waters that holds organic waste effluent from shrimp farms super intensive activities since 2012 to date. Organic waste derived from super-intensive farms and other anthropogenic activities has led to fluctuations in the sediment characteristics such as pH, redox potential, organic carbon, organic matter, total nitrogen and phosphate in the rainy season and drought in the waters.  Data and information on the characteristics of the sediments will provide an overview of potential water quality deterioration especially in times of agitation and turbulence in the waters.  Profile seabed, current speed and the material deposited in the waters of the turbulence plays an important role.  On the other hand the water in the Gulf Labuange also used as raw water for shrimp farming activities super intensive and breeding shrimp and fish are nearby. Under these conditions, has done research that aims to analyze the specific characteristics Labuange Gulf sediments in the rainy season and the dry season.  The research was conducted by taking samples of sediment surveys where as many as 12 parallel to the shoreline with 3 replications perpendicular towards the sea.  The results showed that the average pH in the rainy season and the dry season 7:54 6.93, the average redox potential of -84.49 mV rainy season and the dry season - 64.09 mV, the average organic carbon monsoon rainy season 1:45% and 0.69%, the average organic materials rainy season 2:51% and the dry season is 1.2%, the average total nitrogen rainy season and dry season 0:04% 0:07% and the average phosphate 26.63% in the rainy season and the dry season 45.5%.    T-test analysis results showed that the pH, organic carbon, organic matter and sediment phosphate differ between the rainy season and dry season, while the redox potential and total nitrogen were not significantly different.
