Ornamental coral and marine fish are being attention of the world with increasing exports to foreign countries and become income source of state. This research purpose was to determine the potential of ornamental coral and marine fish for future aquaculture development. The research has been conducted on 17-18 November 2015 in the island of Ketapang, East Belitung, Bangka-Belitung province.

The research used quadrat photograph with size 50 cm x 50 cm and belt transects with 2 mx20m lenght with 3 replications. Photo data were analyzed by using a soft ware CPCe (Coral Point Count with Excel extensions) to take the point of observation by 10 observation points each photo.

The research result succeed to get as much 10 coral genus (Fig. 1) from rapid growth , moderate growth rate of 15 genera and 7 genus slow growth rate according to how long the coral can be useful for coral trada after coral propagation. Large coral polyp colony which has annual quota 1000-5500 that is Cynarina lacrymalis, Catalaphyllia jardinei and Trachyphyllia geoffroyi has not been found in the East Belitung waters in this survey in 2014 and earlier, but found in Kendari and Lampung.

Relatively small number of fish populations, discovered 10 families out of a total population of 45 individuals in Ketapang 1 and 68 individuals in Ketapang 2, that was lower compare with other area in Indonesia. Low density of marine fish can caused by high fishing for ornamental or other purpose.
