What you can expect

  • Technical Consulting & Project Management: Proactive coordination and execution of technical projects within our production environment.
  • You will act as a technical reference person between operations, maintenance, suppliers, and external engineering partners, ensuring practical and implementable solutions.
  • Project Management: Ensuring timely project execution, monitoring project portfolios, and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Procurement & Supplier Coordination: Communicating with suppliers, purchasing materials and spare parts, and comparing quotations.
  • Budgeting & Subcontractor Coordination: Preparing project budgets and coordinating external contractors and subcontractors.
  • Engineering & Development: Supporting planning, design, implementation, and commissioning of technical systems and future facility expansions.
  • Close collaboration with production and fish health teams to translate biological needs into technical solutions.
  • Hands-on mentality: Willingness to actively support operational work when required — not afraid of physical work or getting hands dirty.
  • On-call duty: Willingness to participate in on-call rotations when required.

Requirements

What you bring

  • Swiss citizenship or EU passport holders. Non EU or Swiss citizens applications will not be reviewed.
  • Completed technical education as an engineer (FH/ETH or equivalent qualification).
  • Preferred background in environmental engineering, materials engineering, or water treatment/process engineering.
  • Ability to technically lead projects and, where required, sign off engineering work.
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment processes; RAS systems and/or aquaculture experience is a strong advantage.
  • Understanding of nitrogen/nitrate cycles and basic chemistry and physics of water.
  • Knowledge of pumps, pneumatic systems, and industrial materials.
  • Advantageous: basic knowledge of electrical installations and heating/cooling systems.
  • Advantageous: basic AutoCAD skills for layouts and project planning.
  • Experience communicating with suppliers and managing purchasing processes.
  • Ability to prepare budgets and coordinate subcontractors.
  • German is mandatory (documentation, regulatory interaction, and internal coordination).
  • Good English level is mandatory to communicate effectively with staff and coordinate within the maintenance and technical teams.
  • Proactive, analytical, and structured working style with strong MS Office skills.

  • Driving license category B.
