Holds an MSc in Ichthyology from Rhodes University’s Department of Ichthyology and Fisheries Science (DIFS), with previous hands-on exposure to fish-farming operations through the Rhodes University fish farm during Honours. This background includes formal academic training in aquaculture and practical exposure to an operational aquaculture environment. Subsequent professional experience in freshwater ecology has strengthened expertise in aquatic systems, water quality, biological monitoring, scientific research, data interpretation, environmental assessment and technical reporting.
