Job Details
FWC seeks a dynamic individual to work as a team member in a freshwater fish hatchery production setting at Blackwater Fisheries Center. Daily activities will include assisting with all aspects of the intensive and extensive production of freshwater fish to meet variable annual goals, including pond preparation, management, monitoring, harvesting and stocking. Cleaning and maintaining intensive tanks and raceways. Coordination with hatchery and regional staff will be required. Job duties also include routing equipment, building, and facilities maintenance.
Requirements
5 years of professional experience in a closely related biological field or laboratory program, or
A bachelor's degree with a major in biological or physical science and one year of professional experience in a closely related biological field or laboratory program, or
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in biological or physical science.
Preference may be given to candidates that have aquaculture experience in culturing and rearing fish intensively and extensively.
