Job Details
Under the hierarchical responsibility of the Sector Manager, reporting to the Aquarium Service Manager, your main activities will be:

Prepare food and distribute it to our residents

Maintain aquariums and related technical installations, applying specific work protocols

Caring for animals and managing populations
-
Administer drug treatments where appropriate, in agreement with the Chief of the Reserve and the head of veterinary care

Cultivating live prey and algae
-
Participate in public events and welcome visitors from around the world
-
Breeding fish, jellyfish and invertebrates, coral cultivation
-
Participate in the design and implementation of new projects
-
Diving in large aquariums to ensure their maintenance, and at sea as part of collection according to qualification and protocol
-
Participate in the activities of the marine species care center
-
Supervise interns
-
Collaborate on cross-functional projects with other internal departments within the Museum or others
-
And all other activities necessary for the proper functioning of the Aquarium
Like the other Aquarius Technicians on the team, you will participate in evening and weekend shifts and on-call duties.
Requirements
-
Holder of a bac+2/3 BTS-License in Aquariology-Aquaculture of the CNAM Intechmer type or equivalent
-
Field knowledge in aquariology, breeding, fish/larvae reproduction and aquarium maintenance
-
Similar experience of approximately 3 to 5 years
-
Professional diver qualification (Hyperbaric Aptitude Certificate) level 1B expected

Class B (car) license required

Good writing and speaking skills in French
-
Fluent level of English desired

Interpersonal skills, team spirit, teaching skills and ability to unite people

Sense of initiative, rigor, creativity, dynamism, organization and autonomy

Theoretical knowledge in marine biology
-
Intellectual curiosity (appetence for scientific, cultural and environmental subjects)

Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, Power point)
