Job Details
- Caring for animals and plants in the FishGlassHouse (FGH)
- daily monitoring of animals and animal welfare, implementation of hygiene measures
- Review and independently evaluate the parameters relevant to animal husbandry and initiate appropriate measures
- Maintenance of recirculating systems for the production and experimental keeping of fish in the FGH
- Installation work as well as maintenance and support of connected aquaponics systems
- Construction of new recirculating and hydroponic systems
- Analyzing water, measurements on photometers
- Long-term monitoring of various experimental parameters in experiments
- administrative work for smooth plant operation
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a biological technical assistant or comparable qualification with the best possible result, alternatively you have a suitable qualification for the area of responsibility and many years of professional experience in the described area of responsibility
- Experience in caring for aquatic organisms (fish)
- initial experience with administrative tasks
- Minimum level of physical fitness for work in the facilities
- Class B driving license and the willingness and ability to drive company vehicles
- good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- Independent and timely working style as well as the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
