Job Details

Responsible for supporting the maintenance and execution of the quality assurance system to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. This role will support QC operations in areas such as final product evaluation, data tracking, water quality, health monitoring, and biosecurity management.

1. Quality System Management

• Assist in maintaining the company’s quality management system (QMS) in alignment with industry standards.
• Comply with and help uphold the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and inspection checklists.
• Perform and track water quality, health monitoring, and microbiology metrics

2. Data tracking and support

• Maintain performance database to maintain up to date with tracking all daily activities, including water quality, health monitoring, feeding, growth, and batch tracking
• Support the QC Biologist in creating monthly reports and analysis
• Track qPCR diagnostic results and support samplings

3. Final Product Evaluation & Release Readiness

• Review QC test results and inspection records to assess product readiness for delivery.
• Support QC Biologist and Operations Manager in final risk assessment and overall quality evaluation — including packaging, documentation, and product history — before product release.
• Support decision-making regarding product holds or rejections when quality concerns arise.

4. Packing and Logistics Review

• Monitor packaging processes to ensure consistency with quality standards, including temperature control and documentation accuracy.

5. Regulatory & Biosecurity Compliance

• Comply with workplace safety protocols, internal biosecurity procedures, and environmental health standards in accordance with company policies and relevant government regulations.
• Support the QC Biologist in implementing biosecurity measures within the facility to prevent the introduction and spread of aquatic animal diseases.
• Cooperate with company-wide activities, including training sessions, operational initiatives, and quality system development, to support the organization’s overall goals.
• Report any observed lapses in biosecurity to the QC Biologist or operations manager

6. Research and Development Support

Requirements

Support QC Biologist as needed on research and development projects and reports

• Bachelor’s degree in science, Aquaculture, Statistics, or related degrees OR 1+ years of experience in a lab or aquaculture setting

PART E : RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• At least 1 year of experience in QA/QC or aquaculture preferred.
• New graduates with a strong academic foundation may also be considered.
