Technical Specialist - Aquaculture

Job Details

Provide technical expertise and support to Jefo’s global aquaculture business, contributing to sales growth, customer satisfaction, and product innovation through research, training, and collaboration with internal and external partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Support & Customer Engagement

• Support Jefo and partner Sales Teams through online meetings, trade shows, conferences, and customer visits.
• Deliver technical trainings to Jefo teams, distributors and customers.
• Prepare and deliver presentations for internal, commercial, and scientific audiences.
• Gather field insights and market trends to support product positioning and new solution development.

2. Scientific Communication & Marketing Support

• Develop, review, and update technical and scientific materials (publications, abstracts, technical papers, research reports, presentations, and marketing content).
• Support the Marketing team in creating tools and campaigns for new product launches.
• Represent Jefo at international events, trade shows, and scientific conferences.

3. Research & Product Development

• Coordinate and conduct research projects with universities, research centers, commercial partners, and Jefo’s Aquaculture Research Centre.
• Design protocols, analyze trial results, and present findings to customers in collaboration with Sales Teams.
• Contribute to competitive product analysis and product innovation initiatives in collaboration with R&D.
• Develop and implement specialized technical services and tools focused on nutrition and intestinal health solutions.

4. Partnerships & Networking

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with universities, laboratories, research institutes, and industry leaders.
• Identify and establish new scientific and technical collaborations.

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION :

• Ph.D. in Aquaculture nutrition, or related field.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong knowledge of aquaculture nutrition and physiology.
• Expertise in commercial production systems for key fish species and shrimp.
• Experience in research methodology (protocol design, experimental analysis, statistics, and scientific communication).
• Database management and data analysis proficiency.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of feed formulation (preferred).
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is an asset.
