Job Details
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Handles bivalve husbandry, coastal field work and shellfish farmer survey work.
- Completes data entry and analysis, policy analysis, and aquaculture-focused community outreach.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience
- High school/vocational school education or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Close attention to detail.
- Ability to fill out detailed data sheets.
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a scientific/technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant laboratory technician or research study experience.
Equipment Utilized
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to work in a variety of outdoor conditions.
- Ability to lift over 40 lbs.
Special Conditions
- Some travel to the Haskin Shellfish Research Laboratory in Port Norris, NJ will be required.
