Job Details

Key Responsibilities

·      Support members on FDA, CBP, USDA, and NOAA SIP compliance

·      Lead NFI Technical Committee activities and working groups

·      Help develop rulemaking comments and Codex positions reflecting member interests

·      Deliver training and technical education programs

·      Represent NFI in coalitions, conferences, and stakeholder meetings

·      Coordinate seafood research initiatives with the Seafood Industry Research Fund and facilitates communication of the findings to NFI Members.

Requirements

·      Degree in food science, fisheries, public health, or related field

·      Strong knowledge of federal food regulations, especially seafood

·      Seafood industry experience strongly preferred

·      Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

·      Experience with regulatory advocacy or association work a plus
