Job Details
This is a full-time, on-site based in Olhão, or hybrid, role. The selected candidate will support business development, provide technical support to Hatchery Managers, and engage in technical sales for larval micro diets. Responsibilities include managing hatchery processes, assisting clients with technical inquiries, promoting SPAROS products, conducting client consultations, and liaising with the research and product development teams to align solutions with customer needs. The candidate will also contribute to improving aquaculture best practices and strengthening client relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of aquaculture systems, hatchery operations, and nutritional needs of fish and shrimp species
- Technical knowledge in aquaculture, including water quality management, feeding protocols, and fish performance/quality/health monitoring
- Experience in Technical Sales, Marketing, and client relationship management within the aquaculture hatcheries
- Proficiency in problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Fisheries Science, or a related field is desirable
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- Previous professional experience in a similar role is highly advantageous
- Flexibility to adapt to new challenges and an eagerness to contribute to advancements in hatchery practices
