Quality Control Supervisor

BioMar Group, a leading global sustainable aquaculture feed company , is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor in China . By improving the joint venture's quality control system and refining the inspection methods for raw materials and finished products, you will have the opportunity to contribute to BioMar's consistent and efficient performance in the high-end aquaculture feed market in China.

As an experienced quality control manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the laboratory's daily operations, ensuring that all testing and analysis are accurate, efficient, and compliant with quality standards and regulations. You will lead your team to provide reliable data support for product development, quality control, and production processes.

Main objectives and responsibilities:

• Safety Management: Responsible for the safety management of the laboratory, including but not limited to laboratory technicians, visitors, and other personnel who may enter the laboratory. Ensure the safe operation of quality control personnel in their daily work.
• Reagent Management: Responsible for the legal and compliant procurement, storage, and use of hazardous chemicals in the laboratory.
• Laboratory Operations Management: Responsible for the daily operation of the laboratory, including sample receiving, testing task allocation, equipment maintenance and environmental safety management, to ensure that testing work is completed on time and in compliance with regulations.
• Quality system maintenance: Strictly implement the company's quality standards and SOPs to ensure that laboratory operations comply with the internal quality system and local regulations, and assist in responding to external audits and certifications.
• Testing methods and development: Optimize existing testing processes, assist in the development of new testing methods, and support the research and development of new products and the improvement of existing products.
• Data Management and Reporting: Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of experimental data, prepare test reports, provide timely feedback on results to relevant departments, and establish traceable documentation records.
• Team Management and Training: Responsible for the training, assessment, and daily management of laboratory technicians to improve the team's professional skills and collaboration efficiency.
• Cross-departmental collaboration: Working closely with formulation, production, purchasing, marketing, and product technology departments to provide technical data support and assist in resolving production and quality-related issues.
• Budget and cost control: Prepare an annual budget for laboratory expenses and control laboratory costs while ensuring quality.
• Continuous improvement: Drive laboratory process optimization and technology upgrades, introduce feasible and efficient tools or methods, and improve the overall operational efficiency and data reliability of the laboratory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in analytical chemistry, food science, animal nutrition, biotechnology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of laboratory work experience, including at least 1 year of team management experience; experience in feed, food, or agricultural product testing is preferred.
• Proficient in operating common laboratory instruments (such as near-infrared spectroscopy, Kjeldahl nitrogen determination, etc.) and familiar with testing standards; understand quality control systems.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
