Roles & Responsibilities
- Serve as the company representative throughout the project, including communicating with farmers and the local government.
- Responsible for ensuring the success of the company's project on site.
- Analyze village potential and develop a community development plan based on local resources.
- Implement, assist, and monitor the Proof of Concept (POC) Farm Upgrade process, including coordinating pond renovations, implementing cultivation SOPs, and monitoring productivity.
- Coordinate with the village government, farmer/fisherman groups, and local partners.
- Evaluate and provide input to the project manager on the direction of the project.
- Collect field data, document activities, and prepare project progress reports to be submitted to the Project Manager and Compliance Manager.
Requirements
Skills & Capabilities
- Domiciled in or willing to be placed in Lalombi, Central Sulawesi
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Social Affairs, Community Development, or a related field
- Having knowledge or familiarity with shrimp cultivatio
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Community Development Officer or in a similar position, preferably with experience working in Sulawesi or coastal areas
- Strong communication and engagement skills with village communities
- Familiarity with data collection and reporting, and proficient in using Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and field documentation tools (cameras, survey forms, etc.)
- Familiarity with collaborative and participatory community development
- Experience facilitating community groups in capacity building
- Skilled in field data collection, activity documentation, and project progress report preparation
- Experience mentoring coastal communities, fishermen, or fish farmers is a plus
- Understanding of the aquaculture industry or similar sectors is a plus
