What you will be working on
In this role, you will:
- Identify knowledge or technology gaps related to fish nutrition and feed management and develop solutions to address the gaps, including conduct of relevant R&D projects.
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders and researchers to plan and conduct aquaculture nutrition projects, including farm trials, to improve the nutrition and sustainability of aquafeeds
- Operate pilot feedmill to produce experimental diets for aquaculture nutrition research
- Formulate experimental diets with focus on tropical fishes and shrimps
- Organise training workshops for staff and industry partners on aquaculture nutrition and feed management
- Perform other related duties as required for the smooth operation of the MAC
Requirements
What we are looking for
Our requirements:
- Strong scientific or research background in aquaculture-related fields such as fish nutrition and feed development
- Strong knowledge of aquaculture technologies and best practices
- Proficiency in data analysis and research methodologies.
- Prepared to work on weekends and after office hours when necessary
- Team player with good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in the office, field or offshore environments
