Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager (Fisheries) for planning, implementing and overseeing the large-scale fish farming. The role requires strong technical knowledge of aquaculture, hatchery management and project administration along with leadership skills to ensure smooth operations and achievement of production targets.
Responsibility:
- Develop and execute production plans for fish hatchery and fingerling output.
- Supervise day-to-day hatchery operations including breeding, hatching, feeding, and water quality management.
- Implement and manage IPRS technology for efficient fish culture.
- Supervise regular pond bottom cleaning, sludge removal, and water exchange to maintain optimal growing conditions.
- Plan and execute large-scale commercial fish culture operations.
- Ensure biosecurity, disease prevention, and compliance with environmental standards.
- Manage procurement of feed, equipment, and other resources.
- Monitor production data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.
- Lead and train technical staff, workers, and supervisors.
- Coordinate with senior management, government authorities, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain financial discipline, budgeting, and cost control for the project.
- Cost control & wastage management.
- Drive innovation and sustainable practices in aquaculture.
- Any other relevant assignment.
