Job Details

We are seeking a Breeding & R&D Specialist to join our Breeding & R&D Center.

This is a junior–strong junior specialist role, designed for candidates who want hands-on exposure in breeding operations and applied R&D, with a clear and structured path to a supervisory role within 1–2 years, based on performance and development.

You will work closely with experienced managers and technical teams across larvae, weaning, broodstock, and feed trials, building strong operational and data-driven foundations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Support and execute breeding programs and R&D activities at the Breeding Center and selected hatcheries/farms.
  • Collect, validate, and accurately record phenotyping and trial data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (larvae, weaning, broodstock, feed trials).
  • Participate in the design and operate feed trials .
  • Apply production manuals, biosecurity, and health & safety standards.
  • Monitor water quality, oxygenation, and RAS systems, escalating issues when required.
  • Track consumables and support purchase requests.
  • Assist in monthly KPI reporting and basic data analysis.

Development milestones:

First 6–12 months

  • Full operational understanding of breeding center processes and protocols
  • Independent execution of assigned tasks and trials
  • High-quality, consistent data collection and reporting
  • Active contribution to daily operations and problem-solving

12–24 months

  • Coordination of specific activities or trials
  • Increased responsibility in planning and monitoring operations
  • Mentoring and task guidance for junior staff or technicians
  • Preparation for transition into a Supervisor role, subject to performance and readiness

Requirements

  • Degree in Aquaculture, Biology, Genetics, Ichthyology, or related field
  • Good knowledge of Excel; basic use of Word & PowerPoint
  • Good command of English (written & spoken)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business needs
  • Military obligations fulfilled (if applicable)
