Job Details

The "Fish for Health" project is selecting 1 postdoctoral fellow to work on
applied research in fisheries economics. The fellowship has a workload of 40
hours per week, lasting 24 months.
The selected candidate will work directly on Research 1: "Survey of the fish
consumption market in the State of São Paulo", specifically involving activities
such as integration of wholesale market data, econometrics, and analysis of
long time series of fisheries and aquaculture resources, contributing to a better
understanding of the São Paulo fisheries sector.
With the following objectives to be achieved:
• To provide an overview of wholesale marketing in São Paulo;
• To identify interannual demand trends and patterns, based on available data;
• To map the seasonality of supply and consumption of the main species;
• To analyze price elasticity, identifying substitutes and competitiveness
between species;

Requirements

• Completed PhD in the research’s field;
• Past research experience in fisheries economics;
• Proven statistical experience in time series analysis;
• Familiarity with topics related to the fish production chain (a plus);
• Availability for on-site work in São Paulo (mandatory)
