THESE ARE YOUR TASKS:
- Addressing scientific questions in aquaponics with duckweed
- Planning, preparing and conducting growth experiments in an aquaponic system for duckweed
- Evaluating plant and fish growth in aquaponic systems
- Construction, conversion and dismantling of aquaponics and aquaculture systems
- Monitoring and surveillance of aquaponics systems and aquaculture facilities at the Rostock site and at a project partner for the collection of scientific data
- Publishing research results in international journals
- Providing support for reporting obligations to the funding provider and public relations work
- Preparing and following up on project meetings with project partners
Requirements
THIS IS WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT FOR US:
- Completed university degree (Diploma, Master's or equivalent) in biology, aquaculture or a comparable field with the best possible result
- Relevant practical experience in the field of aquaponics (duckweed) is desirable.
- initial experience with working on projects and publishing research results
- Minimum level of physical fitness for work in aquaculture and plant facilities
- Driving licence class B
- sound knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
- Willingness to work with aquatic organisms (fish)
- Timely work ethic
- Communication skills for presenting research results
- Teamwork skills for working in interdisciplinary teams
