THESE ARE YOUR TASKS:

• Addressing scientific questions in aquaponics with duckweed
• Planning, preparing and conducting growth experiments in an aquaponic system for duckweed
• Evaluating plant and fish growth in aquaponic systems
• Construction, conversion and dismantling of aquaponics and aquaculture systems
• Monitoring and surveillance of aquaponics systems and aquaculture facilities at the Rostock site and at a project partner for the collection of scientific data
• Publishing research results in international journals
• Providing support for reporting obligations to the funding provider and public relations work
• Preparing and following up on project meetings with project partners

Requirements

THIS IS WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT FOR US:

• Completed university degree (Diploma, Master's or equivalent) in biology, aquaculture or a comparable field with the best possible result
• Relevant practical experience in the field of aquaponics (duckweed) is desirable.
• initial experience with working on projects and publishing research results
• Minimum level of physical fitness for work in aquaculture and plant facilities
• Driving licence class B
• sound knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
• Willingness to work with aquatic organisms (fish)
• Timely work ethic
• Communication skills for presenting research results
• Teamwork skills for working in interdisciplinary teams
