Job Details
We are looking for a driven scientist (biologist or bioengineer) who wants to help further optimize our sturgeon farming, in collaboration with the rest of the team, with the ultimate goal of producing high-quality caviar.
The position combines scientific research , operational optimization and administrative coordination between our fish farm and production department.
This is a key position within the company, with a direct impact on breeding results, product quality and innovation.
Your responsibilities
Scientific & technical
- Optimizing breeding and rearing systems for sturgeon
- Analyzing growth performance, feeding strategies, water quality and health
- Initiating and monitoring research projects
- Collaborate with external research centers and laboratories
- Implementing innovative techniques in aquaculture
Coordination & communication
- Acting as a link between the fish farm (breeding location) and production (caviar processing)
- Translating research results into practical applications
- Monitoring planning, reporting and internal communication
- Supporting quality control and process optimization
Administrative & strategic
- Data analysis and reporting
- Documentation of processes and research results
- Co-development of a long-term strategy for breeding optimization
- Support for external audits or collaborations
Requirements
- Master in Biology , Bioscience Engineering , or similar
- Affinity with aquaculture (experience with sturgeon is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Language skills (very important)
- Fluent Dutch
- Fluent French
- Good knowledge of English
