his is a hands-on sales and business development role covering the full commercial cycle, from identifying and qualifying opportunities to customer presentations, site visits, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
You will pursue two primary growth opportunities:
- Finding customers, investors, and operating partners interested in developing TOMGOXY aquaculture farms
- Recruiting and developing international distributors for RYNAN’s aquaculture technologies
You will work closely with RYNAN’s management, marketing, and technical teams.
You do not need to come from the shrimp or aquaculture industry, but relevant industry experience would definitely help. We are also interested in strong B2B solution-sales professionals who can quickly understand complex technologies, identify customer needs, and lead credible commercial conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and approach prospective customers, investors, farm operators, distributors, and strategic partners
- Qualify inbound leads and assess their commercial potential, requirements, budget, decision process, and timeline
- Conduct discovery meetings, product presentations, and commercial pitches
- Develop opportunities for TOMGOXY farm projects, including discussions with potential investors, landowners, operators, and local partners
- Recruit, assess, and support distributors across international markets
- Visit prospective customer sites together with RYNAN’s technical team
- Attend and represent RYNAN at aquaculture exhibitions, conferences, and industry events
- Coordinate proposals, quotations, follow-ups, and commercial negotiations
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate opportunity reporting
- Work with marketing to improve lead generation, campaigns, sales materials, and market positioning
- Provide structured market intelligence and customer feedback to management and the technical team
- Help refine RYNAN’s go-to-market strategy by identifying customer objections, competitive developments, and emerging market opportunities
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in B2B sales, business development, or solution selling
- Experience selling higher-value products, systems, projects, or technical solutions with longer sales cycles
- A strong prospecting and hunter mentality
- Comfort creating opportunities rather than simply waiting for incoming leads
- Ability to qualify opportunities rigorously and distinguish genuine buyers from low-probability enquiries
- Confidence presenting to business owners, investors, distributors, government stakeholders, and senior decision-makers
- Strong commercial judgment, negotiation skills, and follow-through
- Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear business value
- Willingness to travel and visit farms, project sites, and trade shows
- Strong written and spoken English
- Based in Singapore or legally able to work in Singapore
Preferred, but Not Essential
- Experience in shrimp farming, aquaculture, agriculture, water technology, environmental technology, or food production
- Existing relationships with aquaculture farmers, distributors, investors, or government agencies
- Experience developing distributor or channel-partner networks
- Experience selling capital equipment, industrial technology, infrastructure projects, IoT systems, or other complex B2B solutions
- Additional language capabilities relevant to Asia, the Middle East, or other international markets
Direct experience in shrimp or aquaculture would be an advantage, but it is not mandatory. We are equally interested in strong B2B solution-sales professionals who can learn quickly, open doors, build trust, and manage complex commercial opportunities.
