Manager/Asst. Manager (Farming, Operation & Technical)

Job Details

• Manages all technical and administrative aspects of the hatchery/facility operation.
• Prepare annual plan along with the strategy to achieve the assigned target.
• Manages all aspects of the species collection, management, rearing and fish/live feed husbandry.
• Develops feeding rations and schedules needed for specified growth rates.
• Monitors the health of the cultured species and treats them when appropriate.
• Plans breeding programmes and grow schedules to obtain maximum efficiency.
• Supervises activities of hatchery technicians, including rosters, weekend work and after-hours work.
• Directs the training and personal development of all technical staff working.
• Oversee water quality assurance and quality control program.
• Ensures security and biosecurity procedures are adhered to by visitors, students and all staff.
• Adapts to new technologies as they develop and learn practical skills.
• Pays close attention to detail, in order to avoid expensive losses in what can be high-risk.
• Prepares and review SOPs in a periodical manner and maintain records of stocks.
• Hires and trains hatchery staff and supervises employees.
• Ensures worker safety requirements are met.
• Maintains records and prepares reports on facility operation, ensures inventories, equipment, and capital improvements are properly maintained, coordinates facility operation with other department functions

Requirements

• Master/Ph. D in Aquaculture/Fisheries/Veterinary/Science
• Good experience in RAS system
• Bachler degree with five years’ experience in Aquaculture/Fisheries/Veterinary/Science
• Master in Diploma with twenty years’ experience in Aquaculture/Fisheries/Veterinary/ Science
• Hands on experience in aquatic species/live feeds production
