Supervisor/Technician (Farming)

Job Details

• Supervises the maintenance of the rearing facility in a proper way.
• Ensures hygiene standards in the rearing facilities to control and prevent the disease.
• Manages the schedules of various culturing operations.
• Implements and monitors the standard protocol as per SOPs.
• Observes species health and if finds any abnormalities, inform the respective health specialist when appropriate.
• Prepares and feed the species according to the feeding chart at a proper schedule.
• Manages the species-wise mortality data on a daily basis.
• Maintains data concerning species habits during culture and abnormal conditions.
• Collects and analyses the water quality parameters and treats as needed if any deviations.
• Supervises the technicians for the maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Oversees the presence of pests in and around the rearing facilities and controls as per the standard method.
• Maintains stock availability, controls the resource usage and indents the needs.
• Allocates the resources and respond immediately during the occurrence of unanticipated problems.
• Collects and records both operational data and environmental data.
• Prepares reports required by the higher officials.

Requirements

• Diploma in Aquaculture/Fisheries/Veterinary/Science.
• Three years’ experience in Aquaculture.
