The S.C. Sea Grant Consortium is seeking a motivated and collaborative professional to serve as a Sustainable Seafood Program Assistant. Applications received by October 5 will receive full consideration. 

The Sustainable Seafood Program Assistant will support the Consortium’s Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture Extension Program by assisting with applied fisheries and aquaculture research, field operations, stakeholder outreach, workforce development initiatives, and data analysis. This position works closely with Extension Specialists to advance science-based solutions that support South Carolina’s commercial fisheries, aquaculture industries, and coastal communities. 

Based in Charleston, the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium is a state agency that manages the Sea Grant College Program for South Carolina, advancing the environmental, social, and economic potential of the state’s coastal and marine resources through research, extension, education, and communications. 

The position is a full-time, two-year temporary grant-funded appointment with an agency hiring range of $45,000-$55,000.

Requirements

Bachelors, 0-3 years of related work experience.
