Marine Biologist for Social Media and Shop Work

Job Details

I'm looking for an experienced marine biologist who wants a long-term position, running our social media and helping in the shop. The job starts part-time, with room to grow to full-time.

What you'd do:

- Shoot and edit short videos and photos of our corals, fish and shop

- Post to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and answer comments and messages

- Go on our boat collecting trips and film what we find

- List new corals on our website and eBay

- Help customers and care for the tanks, including feeding, water changes and the daily shop checklist

Pay: $19 to $22 an hour to start, based on experience.

Requirements

- You have a marine biology degree and at least 2 years of paid, hands-on experience, such as work in aquaculture, a public aquarium, a lab or a reef shop.

- You live in the Keys or have a plan to move here, and you want to stay. I'm asking for at least a one-year commitment.

- You can work weekends and holidays.

- You've made videos or run social media, even if it was only your own account.

- Scuba certification is a huge plus if you want to learn the collecting side of the business.
