I’ve had the opportunity to work in the aquaculture industry while at school. I have an understanding of farm management. My experiences include working with a variety of species, from rainbow trout to mahi mahi. I have also gained experience in taking various parameters, such as water temperature, pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Ammonia, and other factors.  


I have a strong work ethic and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. I am organized, and detail oriented. I am well-versed in data entry and management, as well as the use of Microsoft Office and Excel.


 In addition to my work experience, I possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which I believe are essential in building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

Work Experience

Researcher
Greenfins LLC
Narragansett, RI
Worked collaboratively to take care of mahi mahi, yellowfin tuna, zebrafish, and angelfish. Routinely measured and weighed rainbow trout using MS-222 as an anesthetic. Daily tasks entailed feeding, water quality, and tank maintenance which included switching water lines between ambient and heated seawater. Assisted with egg collection for the mahi. Maintained rotifer culture by feeding, counting and water changes.

Neoplasia Lab Researcher
University of Rhode Island
Kingston, RI
Worked with the lab group to conduct an experiment on the viral etiology of Disseminated Neoplasia in Mercenaria mercenaria. Responsible for taking care of quahogs in the lab. Assisted with hemolymph extractions and slide preparation for diagnosis of hemic neoplasia. Collected and recorded data for a research pathology project.
