About the role:
We’re looking for a skilled and collaborative Aquaculture Operations Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our aquaculture research facilities. In this important role, you’ll lead the coordination of the use, maintenance and development of biosecure aquaculture systems, contribute to strategy, and ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes for our clients.
This is a full-time permanent position based in Nelson, reporting directly to the Group Manager - Aquaculture. You’ll work alongside a passionate team of scientists, engineers and technicians to deliver impact through world-class science and mātauranga.
About you:
You will have:
- A BSc or equivalent in aquaculture or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in aquaculture operations, with a focus on hatchery systems
- Proven project management and budgeting skills
- Knowledge of biosecurity standards and compliance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
