Associate Editor Opportunity with Fisheries Management and Ecology

Fisheries Management and Ecology: Associate Editor Recruitment

The role of an Associate Editor may include:

  • Managing peer reviews of article submissions and recommending decisions to the Editor-in-Chief for an average of 30 manuscripts per year.
  • Providing quick feedback on difficult manuscripts (e.g., split decisions) and occasional comprehensive reviews to provide article recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief.
  • Suggesting topics, debates, or themes for special issues or sections to be developed for publication in the journal.
  • Collaborating with the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher to develop initiatives that will help the journal flourish.
  • Networking and advocating on behalf of FME within the community to potential new authors or readers.

Requirements

We welcome expressions of interest from all career stages and diverse backgrounds. Relevant research expertise should include a record of successful publication in peer-reviewed journals on subjects related to the Aims and Scope of FME. Previous experience as an Associate Editor for another peer-reviewed journal is desirable (but not essential).
