AQUACULTURE ENGINEER R&D

Job Details

As part of the development of our sustainable aquaculture projects and the strengthening of our field R&D activities, the Group's innovation division is looking for an R&D aquaculture engineer with good mastery of advanced statistics and modeling tools.
This key position is part of a dynamic of applied innovation, with a strong impact on the performance of sustainable farming systems and the optimization of practices. 
Your Missions
  • Actively participate in the establishment, monitoring and conduct of field trials (nutrition, reproduction, stocking, fattening, water quality, etc.) in collaboration with the R&D and field teams.
  • Collect, structure, clean and analyze statistical data in R and/or Python: biological, zootechnical and environmental performance.
  • Write protocols, technical reports and summary documents for internal use.
  • Participate in the development and deployment of automated monitoring systems, decision support tools and innovative solutions.
  • Provide technical and biological support to teams in the field and support operators and technicians on the tools or protocols deployed.
  • Scientific and technical monitoring: breeding practices, market trends, technological innovations.

Requirements

Training / Experience:
  • Bac+5 training (engineering school or Master) in aquaculture, fisheries, agronomy or equivalent discipline, with a solid mastery of advanced statistics tools and programming in R and Python.
  • Experience in aquaculture farming is required (minimum 2 years).

Technical Skills

  • Very good command of R and Python (statistics, dataviz and modeling, etc.)
  • Proficiency in classic office tools (advanced Excel)
  • Comfortable with experimentation, protocol writing and technical reporting
  • Ability to popularize scientific information
