AQUAPONICS IN SMALL SCALE SYSTEMS FOR RURAL AND EDUCATIONAL PRODUCTION  

Aquaponic systems have become more popular on this days since they are systems that combine aquaculture species and vegetable production on a soil-less technique.  Aquaponics systems have other advanteges besides their production, since they have become useful for rural development, educational and agro-touristic purposes.

In this presentation we are talking about the difficulties and the good experiences that we have experiences on 3 different small scale systems that are on 3 different locations: dessert, mountain, and template climates using Tilapia or Trout production.
