One effort to increase the economic value of traditional brackish water ponds is the culture of mariculture species particularly groupers. Grouper culture activities in ponds had been carried out in Aquaculture Business Center, Karawang through the application of economic scale of grouper aquaculture in ponds. Grouper culture generally had a relatively long time culture periods, therefore, to increase the added value of culture activities carried out by grouper polyculture system in small size of ponds. The polyculture activities carried out in the 2,500 m2 of pond with a good construction. Groupers stocked was 4.000 fish of hybrid grouper with average 10-14 cm of TL/fish.  Additional fish was 5.000 of size 6-8 cm of TL/ fish milkfish, 10,000 of Vannamei shrimp seed and 5,000 of tilapia fish. The activities carried out for eight months with two stages of rearing periods. Each stages was finished by fish harvesting and removal groupers to other pond. Based on the average harvesting data of both stages gained an average survival rate of groper > 80%, 65 kg of market size fishmilk (200 gr/fish) and 22 kg of vannamei shrimp with 50-70 of size.  During eight months of culture periods, obtained an average net worth of fish by products IDR. 600,000-700,000/month/pond. Based on the survival rate and value of business acquired every stage of grouper culture, so the grouper polyculture activities in small pond can be used as an alternative additional effort in grouper culture.
