The Mussels products originating from the province of Banten, especially mussels become the main target of monitoring mussels by LP2IL ( Centerof Fish Diseases and Environmental Investigation ). Monitoring oyster sampling include water as a medium of live mussels and clams green itself as the target of the test. Heavy metal pollutants in the mussels products were analyzed using AAS ( Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer ) . Heavy metals were tested on mussels products include Pb, Cd, and Hg . Water as the medium of live mussels chemical and physical parameters analyzed include Pb, Cd, Hg, TSS, Nitrite, Nitrate, Phosphate, DO, pH, and Ammoniac. Chemical parameters of the water will affect the levels of metals in mussles meat . In the PP 82 of 2001 on water pollution mussels or fishery products , heavy metal has a threshold of 2 ppb .

Sampling is done on three points , namely district of Tangerang , Serang and Pandeglang district ( Figure 1 ) . Of the three that point to a metal that has the highest value is Lead of 2.561 ppb ( Figure 2 ) . The Lead in waters originating from the flue gas motor engine which then diffuse in water bodies . At the 3-point area that is above the threshold that the Pandeglang district . This area is a transport route through which many fishing boats and vessels transporting goods.

Mercuy ( Hg ) and Cadmium ( Cd ) were below the threshold specified by SNI 7387.2.2009 . To Cd of 1 ppb and 1.5 ppb Hg . It's just above the threshold value Pb so that the need for routine monitoring of oyster in Banten . Monitoring needs to be done at least 2 times a year during the rainy season and summer .
