Green mussel is one of fisheries product that is cheap, easy for culture and consumed by all people. Green mussel (Perna viridis) is filter feeder organism that able to accumulate pollution agent as heavy metal.  Green mussel should be hygienic and free from pollution before consumed. MCMA Lampung has been analyzed green mussel and seawater for 2 parameters (Pb and Cd) at 3 green mussel site area in Lampung.  Analyze result of Green mussel in Lampung Province showed that green mussel has detected containing Pb 0.274 - 2.220) mg/kg and Cd 0.435-1.183 mg/kg. For seawater analysis, concentration of Pb was 0.053 - 0.374 mg/l and Cd was 0,018-0,029 mg/l.  Analyze result of water in green mussel location showed that concentration of heavy metal Pb and Cd are over the limit quality.  Green mussels from 3 location study are safe for consumption because the concentration of heavy metal Pb and Cd are under the limit quality.  Occurrences of heavy metal in green mussel site location should be viewed as an early warning and some effort should be made by preventive action to assure food safety for fisheries product.
