SENSITIVITY TEST OF SIX MEDICINAL HERBS AGAINTS VARIOUS FRESHWATER BACTERIAL PATHOGENAND PARASITES
Medicinal herbs are natural compound and serve as immunostimulant, sedative and antibiotic. With its properties, medicinal herbs are promising compound to control disease for freshwater aquaculture activities. This study is aimed to determine the activity of medicinal herbs againts four freshwater bacterial pathogens and parasites.
The result shows that kipahit leaves are effective to inhibit S. agalactiae (2±0) and F. columnare (1,9±0,8). Guava leaves are effective to inhibit A. hydrophila (2±0,7) and M. fortuitum are inhibited by papaya and kipahit leaves (1,6±0,6 dan 1,6±0,5). While, pepaya, mengkudu and sirih are effective for parasitic disease.
