Cultivation catfish (Clarias gariepinus) Intensive With Bioflok And Probiotic System To Increase Production: Case Study in Sukabumi

Development of global fisheries is based on the aquaculture sub-sector (aquaculture). With this status aquaculture bow was more oriented towards productivity. As a reaction to the demands of production and the market, intensive cultivation system evolved as a driving force of aquaculture. One effort to increase the productivity of farmers in particular for catfish group commodity need a technological innovation. The research was conducted from March to June 2015 in the region of Sukabumi, West Java Province research was conducted on the test field and the respondents to the research subject is the population of farmers catfish incorporated in 11 POKDAKAN region sukabumi (area sampling) relating to the existence and continuity of business activities of growing catfish. The method used in data collection was a questionnaire given to 50 people who are members of 11 POKDAKAN. Data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative presented in the form of tables and figures. In the test fish used is catfish sangkuriang size of 5-7 cm kept in a round concrete tank with a volume of 2 m3 with a density of 1 000 fish / m3.  This research uses experimental method with 2 treatments and 3 replications. The first treatment is the application of  biofloc Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) and the second treatment is the application of probiotics SOP with a maintenance period of 90 days. The results showed that catfish farmers in Sukabumi utilizing intensive technology is still has a very low technical understanding equal to 8%. Among several aspects that influence success in technical understanding and skills of sukabumi POKDAKAN are key factors which most determine the productivity of a POKDAKAN compared with the institutional aspects, aquaculture facilities, the availability of quality seeds, feed availability, and economic characteristics. The results of field research shows that the probiotic treatment resulted a higher survival 87% and 61.25% for biofloc treatment, FCR in the probiotic treatment are 1.12 is lower than bioflok treatment 1:19
