Increased production through intensive culture of white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) caused many problems including the presence of disease either by virus or bacteria.  Vibrio harveyi is one type of bacteria that is common in white shrimp and caused high mortality due to the increased of organic waste. Biocontrol using bacteria is an alternative method to degrade organic matter in an intensive shrimp pond culture and to prevent the white shrimp from vibriosis. The study aims to obtain bacterial isolates producing extracellular enzymes and have the ability to inhibit V. harveyi pathogenic bacteria derived from sediment of intensive white shrimp pond culture. The research method used descriptive method. Bacteria were isolated from sediment of the intensive white shrimp pond culture in Banyuwangi as they contain high organic matter. The bacteria isolates were then purified before extracellular enzyme test and antagonistic test to inhibit V. harveyi were initiated. The result gained seventeen bacterial isolates including 16 isolates producing extracellular enzymes and 12 isolates could inhibiting V. harveyi. These 12 isolates considered as Bacillus, Micrococcus, Corynebacterium, Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, Flavobacterium and Enterobacter.
