Raising tilapia GMT (Genetically Supermale Tilapia) in the Main Center of Freshwater Aquaculture Sukabumi have implemented intensive fish farming, with a high stocking density, high artificial feeding, and use of probiotic technology. The use of probiotics in intensive tilapia aquaculture has a very important role, because it can improve the quality of aquaculture water, neutralizing the content of ammonia, nitrite organic materials, acid sulfite and will also suppress the growth of pathogenic bacteria that can be detrimental to the survival of organisms are cultured. Results of water quality monitoring can be used as a basis or a reference in determining the appropriate action in the management of tilapia fish farming with the addition of probiotics. This activity is carried out in working groups Tilapia fish pond Main Center of Freshwater Aquaculture Sukabumi, and conducted in February through September 2015. The location of water quality monitoring is conducted in two pools that use of probiotics and 2 pools without the use of probiotics in the inlet sampling point and outlet. Measurement water quality in the pond just focused on the parameters of temperature, pH, DO, CO2, NH3, NO2, CO2 and alkalinity. Water sampling performed every two weeks for three months. The results of these activities indicate the temperature range between 23,20-26,65oC; pH 6.29 to 8.35; Dissolved oxygen from 3.13 to 9.03 mg / l; nitrite from 0.006 to 0.037 mg / l and alkalinity values ranged from 61.20 to 126.38 mg / l. Overall the quality of the water during the activity is still in the range classified as eligible for the life and growth of tilapia.
