Objective

Dear Coordinator,
I hold a PhD in Aquaculture (University of Stirling) and bring over 16 years of leadership with WorldFish on USAID-, USDA-, and CGIAR-funded aquaculture projects. I specialize in hatchery design, sustainable production systems, and community-based livelihood innovation.
As CoP and Program Manager, I led multi-country initiatives introducing biosecure hatcheries, published 30+ peer-reviewed articles, and built capacity among coastal extension teams with a gender-focused approach.
Spain’s key aquaculture zones—Valencia’s marine fin‑fish and Galicia’s shellfish/restoration—directly align with my expertise. I aim to contribute to institutions like CEP Asturias, IGAFA Galicia, or EFCA Vigo through technology transfer, research support, and training.
From August 2025, I will begin a remote consultancy with Lutheran World Relief, qualifying me for Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa. My partner, Rejina, would join under study or internship arrangements.
I would greatly appreciate your assistance to:
-
Share relevant fisheries/aquaculture job openings or consultancies in Spain,
-
Introduce me to Spanish institutions or WAS member organizations,
-
Advise on optimizing my CV and visibility to Spanish employers.
I am open to consultancy, interim, or full-time roles in aquaculture management, research, or capacity-building. My family and I are ready to relocate promptly.
Thank you for WAS’s support of global aquaculture professionals. I look forward to contributing to Spain’s thriving aquaculture sector.
Sincerely,
Dr. Manjurul Karim
