APA19FarmTours The possibility of three visits to aquaculture production sites will be offered: Tour 1: Visit to a shrimp broodstock multiplication center, a shrimp hatchery and one of India’s biggest shrimp farms. Tour 2: Visit to a shrimp hatchery with a subsequent trip to a feed company and its hatchery unit. The two tours will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 17 and 18, 2019. Tour 3: Visit to a multispecies fish hatchery, shrimp hatchery and production systems. This tour will take place on 22 June 2019. SpecialWorkshop onDealingwithEmerging Trends in ShrimpAquaculture A workshop on “Dealing with emerging trends in Shrimp Aquaculture” has been scheduled for 20 June 2019. This session will present the regional action plan, results by country and continuity proposals and a Technical Guide on the application of resource efficiency and cleaner production in the shrimp farming sector. Twelfth International Symposiumon Tilapia inAquaculture The Twelfth International Symposium on Tilapia in Aquaculture will be held from 19-21 June in conjunction with Asian Pacific Aquaculture 2019. ISTA 12 will include sessions on tilapia genetics and breeding, heath and disease, production systems, nutrition, processing and marketing, and individual country reports. ISTA meetings are convened roughly every three years at a different location around the world. Every country that has hosted an ISTA has documented an upsurge in tilapia production and consumption in the years following the symposium. Attendees normally represent over 40 countries.
