The nets the aquaculture industry are essential for the confinement of fish and also an important design parameter for structures cages and anchoring systems, since they are directly related to the drag forces that generate the oceanographic conditions. As a consequence, this article aims to determine the drag coefficient of four nets through numerical simulation with ANSYS CFD and compare it with an experimental work developed by Tsukrov et al., 2011. The drag coefficients obtained in copper nets by simulation they vary from those obtained experimentally, however, in nylon nets they tend to be similar.
