The Latin American and Caribbean Chapter of the World Aquaculture Society (LACC-WAS) will organize its annual conference LACQUA, along with the South American Regional Aquaculture (SARA2016) conference with support from the Ministry of Production of Peru. LACQUA 2016 will bring together aquaculture researchers, technicians, entrepreneurs and experts from the Latin American and Caribbean region and the world. In addition to learning from the presentations on the latest developments in various species and areas of aquaculture, participants will be able to take advantages of special spaces dedicated to investors and the industrial sector. The exhibition area will feature more than 30 companies of great importance to the industry. This conference is the perfect opportunity to present the latest advances to academia, industry or producers and interact with professionals working in aquaculture from different parts of the continent. Join us at LACQUA 2016 and experience the great hospitality of Peru! technologies for aquaculture. In addition, training activities and technical assistance on trout farming are conducted in the highland communities of the Peruvian Andes to integrate them into the production chain of aquaculture, boosting the local economy by generating income to improve the quality of life. Finally, it is important to highlight research by the various laboratories through the National Innovation Program for Competitiveness and Productivity (Innovate Peru) of the Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) and the National Council of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (CONCYTEC) to increase and promote scientific research in the field of this production.
