The aim of this research is to increase reproductive potential of  striped catfish female including the gonad rematuration, gonad somatic index, fecundity, egg diameter and hatching rate. Fish were treated by formulated feeds and control feeds (commercial feeds contained 30% protein). Feeds were formulated using local feedstuff such as fish meal, shrimp meal, rice bran, copra meal, vitamin mix, vitamin E, vitamin C, corn oil, pytase enzyme and tapioca as binder. It contained 37,57% protein, 7,38% lipid, 10,35% crude fiber, 24,28% ash, and 14.32% moisture. Fifty female (average weight ±2,5 kg/fish) and twenty male broodstock  were selected in the pond and used for this experiment. Fish were fed on formulated feeds two times a day with feeding rate 3% of biomass and spawned per month.

The tested parameters such as gonad somatic index, fecundity, egg diameter, number of spawned fish and hatching rate. Results of the experiment indicated that formulated feeds stimulated gonad development and increased number of spawned fish, gonad somatic index 14,90%, fecundity 488.869 eggs/female and hatching rate 59,73%. But the egg diameter did not different between treatment. As for control treatment the value of gonad somatic index, fecundity and hatching rate was 11,62%, 400.500 eggs/female and 40,4%, respectively. Thus, formulated feeds was low cost (Rp.9.000/kg) and gave the best reproduction performance during in dry season.
