The use of technology protein recombinant growth hormone (rGH) for striped catfish has been conducted to test the use rGH on catfish through the feed (oral) inpromoting growth. This activity is divided into two stages, namely stage nursering and grow-out. Giving rGH only performed at the first stage and the second stage continued to see growth performance of fish at this stage of grow-out.

This activity lasted for 80 days for nursering stage and proceed to the stage of grow-out for 176 days. Maintenance carried out in hapa with a stocking density of 300 fish / hapa on stage nursering and 150 fish / hapa at this stage of grow-out. The dose used in the first stage is a 1.2 mg / kg and K 0 mg / kg (control). Giving rGH given during the first 3 weeks with a frequency of 2 times / week at the stage of nursering. The second phase of activity continued grow-out of the results of the first stage and control. Each activity consists of three replications. The feed is commercial feed with a protein content of 26-28% and 14-16% in stage nursering and grow-out.

Results showed activity rGH administration via the feed with a frequency of 2 times a week for 3 weeks on the seed striped catfish is able to increase the growth of catfish at 32.83% at the stage of nursering and at the stage of grow-out the highest growth was achieved in the maintenance of day-to-62 by 39,55%. Increased growth of fish reaches the optimum value of the maintenance period 120 -150 days with a range of 38%. Feed consumption rate (FCR) showed significant differences in seed rGH.
