Vaname Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is a mainstay of superior products cultivation has grown from upstream to downstream. The upstream part of the system depends on the willingness parent quality and quantity. It is very influential to many vaname shrimp fry will be produced. During this generally vaname shrimp farming activities carried out in the pond either super intensive and intensive. If cultivation is carried out in the ponds so farmers require substantial capital either in peyiapan land for farms and operational costs can be very high, especially dikataan feed.

Seeing the problem above, we try to do maintenance (enlargement) of shrimp vaname in floating net cages (KJA) by taking into account the social level of the fish farmers, especially farmers in the Bay of Ambon in. This is a problem that becomes the main factor so that the success rate of fish farming has always decline. See the length of time the maintenance of fish (grouper) and feed costs consuming enough income then we at the Center for Mariculture Ambon has introduced techniques vaname shrimp farming in cage to several fish farmers and as a result there have been performing these activities.

The result has been felt by the fish farmers who switched to shrimp farming moreover it is supported by the many requests for fresh shrimp in Ambon city and surrounding areas. To support these activities we conduct training to the farmers so that the interest to undertake fish farming can be excited again.

During the maintenance process seed shrimp were fed trash that has been added to chicken eggs with the intention that the vitamin exist in trash fish can grow to membantuh the seed growth.

KJA during maintenance on the basis of waring after cleaning after striking shrimp the size of 8-10 cm, the cleaning is done at least 4 days by conducting dives. The results obtained during the 100-day maintenance KJAternyata obtained tonnage of 700 kg with a size 80 in other words SR (survival) of 70% to be as much as 3135 kg total trash fish or FCR = 1: 4.5

If viewed from the analysis of the venture capital needed is Rp. 24.375.00 covers fry, feed, enrichment and labor costs. While the results of selling shrimp itself is Rp. 75,000 / kg so the total sales revenue is Rp. 52.5 million. So the advantage gained during the maintenance cycle adalahRp. 20.875 million.
